Leprechaun is a fun and scary ride that you won't forget in a hurry

Leprechaun is a classic horror film that is so horrible that it's excellent. The narrative is ludicrous, the acting is exaggerated, and the special effects are laughable. However, all of these elements come together to make an enjoyable and amusing picture. Warwick Davis makes an outstanding job as the leprechaun, while Jennifer Aniston's cinematic debut is unexpectedly strong. If you like campy horror films, you should certainly check out Leprechaun. This film is more likely to make you chuckle than to make you scream.

Warwick Davis's portrayal of a vengeful leprechaun has become the stuff of legend. In the film, the leprechaun is convinced that a family has stolen his pot of gold. He sets out to hunt them down, using all of his cunning and strength. Meanwhile, the family is desperately searching for the gold, in an attempt to placate the leprechaun and keep him from harming them. Davis's performance is chilling and unforgettable, making Leprechaun one of the best horror films of all time.

Leprechaun movie plot:

In 1983, Dan O'Grady traveled to Ireland, the country of his origin, and while there, he abducted a leprechaun and stole the pot of gold that he was guarding. He then returned to his home in North Dakota. After O'Grady buried the wealth, he came to the conclusion that the evil leprechaun had followed him back to his house and murdered his wife. With the use of a clover with four leaves, O'Grady is able to control the leprechaun's skills and confine him inside a container. He had a stroke just in time to stop him from setting him on fire.

After ten years have passed, J. D. Redding decides to spend the summer at the O'Grady farmhouse with his daughter Tory, who is now a teenager. The farmhouse is now being repainted with the aid of contract workers Nathan Murphy, his 10-year-old brother Alex, and their friend Ozzie Jones, who is considered to be somewhat dimwitted. While Ozzie is scouring the basement, he overhears the leprechaun calling for help and mistakes him for a little child. He frees the leprechaun from the carton by removing the worn out four-leaf clover that was inside of it. Ozzie learns from the leprechaun that he is really an Irish shoemaker who emigrated to the United States in the hope of making his fortune. Ozzie notices a rainbow after his attempts to convince the others that he had seen a leprechaun were unsuccessful. He decides to follow the rainbow in the hopes of finding upon a treasure chest along the way. Alex follows him because he is worried that Ozzie would hurt himself in some way. A bag holding one hundred gold coins mysteriously materializes in front of Ozzie. After Ozzie examines the gold and mistakenly consumes a coin while doing so, they conceal it in an old well in the belief that this would restore Ozzie's mental capacity.

J. D. gets tricked by a leprechaun on the farm into walking into a trap by the leprechaun posing as a cat and biting his hand, causing him pain. After Tory and the others have brought the leprechaun to the hospital, he rides away on a three-wheeled bicycle. When Alex and Ozzie proceed to a pawn shop to determine the authenticity of the gold, the leprechaun kills the store's proprietor, Joe, for stealing his gold, and then polishes Joe's shoes before fleeing the scene. When the leprechaun was on his way back to the farm, he decided to build himself a go-kart but was pulled over by the police officer because he was going too fast. The officer is chased by the leprechaun into the woods, where the leprechaun eventually takes his life at the hands of the officer. The leprechaun returns to the farm and begins searching for his treasure while also polishing the shoes of everyone he encounters. After accompanying J. D. to the medical facility, the group makes their way back to the farmhouse. When Nathan goes outside to investigate after discovering that it has been plundered, he is hurt by a bear trap that was placed by a leprechaun. Outside, the mob launches an assault on the leprechaun and begins to beat him with rocks and clubs.

When it doesn't work, they try to leave the property, but the leprechaun has destroyed the truck's engine. The leprechaun terrorizes the gang after smashing the vehicle with the go-kart until Ozzie admits that he and Alex discovered the pot of gold. The bag is retrieved from the well by Tory, who then offers it to the leprechaun. They go to the hospital, certain that the worst is past. The leprechaun realizes that he is missing the last coin that Ozzie ate as he counts his wealth. He threatens them, believing they have duped him, until Ozzie informs them that O'Grady had a stroke and was sent to a nursing facility. By hurling filthy shoes at the leprechaun, the gang diverts his attention, and the leprechaun is forced to go shine the shoes as Tory gets in her jeep and drives off. At the nursing home, the leprechaun pretends to be O'Grady. The leprechaun follows Tory to an elevator and throws O'Grady's bloody body down the elevator shaft as Tory runs away. Before he dies, O'Grady tells her that the only way to kill the leprechaun is with a four-leaf clover, which grows in a big patch right outside the farm. Tory goes back to the farmhouse to look for a clover, but the leprechaun attacks her, and Nathan and Ozzie save her. The leprechaun gets seriously hurt while trying to get the last gold coin, which Ozzie admits he ate. Alex puts a four-leaf clover that Tory found on a wad of gum and fires it into the leprechaun's mouth. This melts the leprechaun before he can kill Ozzie. Even though the leprechaun's skeleton fell into the well, it gets out and says, "I want my gold." After Nathan pushes the leprechaun back into the well, he lights both objects on fire with gasoline. When the police show up, Tory is reunited with her father. She then marries Nathan and they have a child. While the police search the wreckage of the well, the leprechaun says he won't stop until he finds all of his money.

Warwick Davis was cast in Willow by George Lucas. Why is less known. Davis was under contract to Lucas and needed authorization to appear in the movie. Leprechauns were meant to return to Ireland. Warwick Davis, who played the leprechaun, lacked a work visa. Davis required a visa in three days to shoot the last scene, an impossible job.
